Indeed Hiring Platform is used by our HR department in order to assess candidates for specific open roles within the company. It has helped us to quickly assess candidates and set up interviews and next steps. The platform decreases the applicant pool and has been of assistance to our HR team when speedy replacements are necessary.
  • Filtering by experience/qualities needed
  • Providing a large pool of applicants
  • Speeds up the hiring process
  • Would be nice to have a feature where you can respond to applicants through email instead of through the platform
  • For roles that need multiple interview sessions or a very large pool to choose from the features of this platform are not super accomodating
  • Candidate quality is sometimes subpar, even after filters are used
Indeed is well suited to smaller firms that are looking to fill key roles fast and need an instant pool of candidates. The filtering feature helps to weed out those who are not the best fit. Our HR team saved a lot of time using the platform to find a new office manager compared to word of mouth or Linkedin. The additional features offered don't seem very accommodating to bigger firms with an extensive interview process, especially if they are trying to track and make profiles of candidates. If you want something that fills immediate roles you can definitely find a suitable candidate within the large applicant pool the platform holds.

The Indeed Hiring Platform is used across our entire organization. As a user, our hiring manager gave me access to review candidates that applied for open positions within our department. I have quick access to the resumes and job history of all our applicants. But my favorite feature was the Invites that Indeed would let us send out to potential candidates. We had a great batch of people to select from.
  • Simple user interface. It is well organized by open jobs and filters down to the best candidates.
  • Access to Indeed's database of individuals who can be invited to apply to an open position.
  • Effective communication system between employer and job candidates.
  • Sometimes the resume formatting is different from the attached resumes.
I think all people should use Indeed and keep their resumes updated on the platform. The algorithms in the database really work well to match candidates the postings within our team for all the roles within our organization. We had an employee who was retiring, so we wanted to get in a new hire quickly. We sent out invites to 10 people and selected one of them for the position. It was quick and seamless.

We are in constant need of applicants. We specifically use this platform to fill RN roles, and applicants from the hiring event are more likely to get hired versus applicants that apply to job posts who do or don't pick up the phone.
  • Travel Nurses
  • More applicants for specific jobs
  • Technical issues that users and applicants experience
Indeed Hiring Platform is well suited for travel nurses but doesn't meet expectations when we're looking to fill specific roles.

We are an employment agency and we use indeed to reach out to potential candidates for our open positions. Indeed allows us to target job-specific candidates so that our recruiters can have better time management. This allows us to streamline and find the best fit for our job openings in a timely manner.
  • Customer service is very timely.
  • Their platform is very user friendly
  • They give you the ability to adjust the budget on your job postings.
  • Some candidates phone numbers do not show up.
  • Job postings and reposting jobs could be streamlined to save time.
  • The annual price increased with the merge with GlassDoor but we have not noticed an increase in the number of applicants.
Indeed is well suited in helping our recruiters streamline the hiring process by allowing us to post for job-specific positions and also allows us to have knockout questions to eliminate candidates that do not qualify for our specific job postings. It would be nice to have the ability to see if a candidate applied to multiple job postings on our job board.

We have utilized the Indeed Hiring Platform this last year to tap into the potential passive seeking job seekers or those who would not have applied with our company previously and we have found great success in this aspect. This platform has also allowed us to find a middle ground in these post-pandemic times to still establish a more personal connection with each candidate, while also appealing to the ease and convenience that candidates are seeking during these times.

I was personally responsible for the set-up of the events as well as managing the overall execution, and I can attest that from start to finish, this process was smooth and seamless. The feedback from my team as well as Hiring Manager who was conducting interviews was extremely positive.
  • The set-up of the event asks for important details to maximize the effectiveness of the event, but is also very simple.
  • The opportunity for you to create more personal connections with each candidate, while also providing a virtual hiring experience.
  • The actual hiring event platform that is utilized during the execution of the event is simple, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing.
  • There are times when multiple people would enter the same interviewing room at the same time, which would create an awkward experience for the candidate/hiring managers. Perhaps if there was a function that said "Hiring Manager 1 is already in this room, are you sure you would like to proceed in entering at this time?" would alleviate that issue.
I think that this platform is versatile in the sense that it could be used to recruit for a number of different roles, however, I could see this being less effective for senior leadership to executive-level roles.

We use the Indeed Hiring Platform to find qualified, experienced IT consultants for IT Services projects. We obtain requests or find opportunities from private and public organizations that require a specialized set of experienced IT resources to deliver their portfolio of IT projects. Often times our clients' requirements have a very short turnaround time so we need to have access to a large pool of qualified talent to eventually find the right person or people. From our experience, the Indeed Hiring Platform meets this need nicely. We have received a solid number of applicants for each of our postings and the quality of those applicants have been at least as good as other tools we used in the past.
  • Provides a large pool of applicants that mostly meets our needs.
  • Easy to post new openings. The new posting "wizard" is simple and quick to use.
  • Pricing is flexible and very reasonable. We don't want to commit to a # of positions or costs for a whole year as our needs can ebb and flow. We like the ability to post and pay as needed.
  • The qualifying questionnaire that we can use to help screen candidates is not very flexible.
  • The virtual assistant can add questions or provide filters to the application for the candidate that we don't actually want or need.
  • Surprisingly, the candidate/applicant list view is not very flexible. It should be a simple, one-click step to get from a filtered list to an all candidate view, but it takes a couple of extra clicks...I think this is because of the virtual assistant being turned on. I can always get to what I need or want eventually, but it just seems like I have to make a few extra, unnecessary clicks to get the view I want.
  • As of 01/01/2022, Indeed has changed their default pricing model to Pay by Applicant which uses an algorithm to determine the cost per applicant which can vary and it replaces the default campaign price cap. As we learned the hard way this can get expensive very quickly if you do not set an applicant maximum and you do not reject applicants you do not want or don't think are a fit for your posting.
  • Strangely and unfortunately, your posted/live job is not by default easy to find and view/review to confirm on the live/candidate side of the platform. The search bar does NOT work like Google in returning the most relevant and then everything else.
  • Your company also does not by default show up under the Find Jobs section if you do not have a live post (although searching by Company is an option in this search field) and if you do have a live post...again like Google it does not do a good job of returning all results...from our informal testing, it seems like you need an exact match not just on job name, but your location...even if you use Remote as the location. Even under the Company Reviews search (which does NOT seem to require a live job to return a result, the search engine lacks. Our company name is made up of 4 words. You cannot just search by the first word of our company name and see our company listed....we would have expected it to at least show up, even if it was at the bottom of the search. It takes the first two words of our company name entered into the Company review search to return our company name.
  • The flip side to constant innovation is that Indeed's platform can/will introduce new features and options when posting a job that you may not fully understand or may not even fully work as expected when you are ready to post your next job listing. This can be a pain since you are ready to go and then you have to step back and learn/relearn some part of the solution which, at least, recently has impacted us in overall costs.
If your company does not have a predictable hiring schedule or a set # of positions a month or year, Indeed is great because there is no upfront cost commitment required. Post and pay whenever you have a need, with reasonable pricing. If you want to have a lot of applicants/candidates, Indeed works great. It seems that a lot of IT consultants use Indeed...seemingly more so than the legacy providers like Monster and DICE. If your company likes to use questionnaires to help filter candidates (like we do), Indeed's questionnaire tool is not all that flexible. It works overall, but it seems to be set up for simple qualification filtering. For example, there is a surprisingly small word/character limit when creating questions.

Nielsen uses Indeed to host Virtual Hiring events to supply our Call Center with a high volume of candidates. Given that we are needing to hire a high volume of people, the Indeed hiring event advertises our available job opening out to a large number of people.
  • Provide a virtual experience to interview candidates from around the USA.
  • Screens applicants with our choice of screening questions before they can sign up for the event.
  • Make attaching a resume a requirement.
  • Have ability to share audio as well when sharing screen.
Given Indeed's popularity, we are able to pull in a lot of candidates for our hiring events. This is essential for high-volume recruiting. Scenarios, when Indeed had technical difficulties, tarnished the name for Nielsen as well.

We use Indeed for mid-career professional outreach. We've recently found resume search the more effective portion of the platform.
  • Resume search
  • Indexing of jobs from our ATS
  • candidate communications, candidates don't always check their Indeed email
  • use candidate personal email address, not Indeed email
Less appropriate for sales roles.

Indeed Hiring Platform is currently used for our hiring needs. We use it to post open job for individuals to apply for. Because we are a relatively small employer, we essentially use Indeed as our de facto ATS system. We use Indeed to communicate back and forth with candidates on interview times.
  • Ease of use
  • Cost effective
  • Able to reach out to a wide array of candidates.
  • Customer service is lacking.
  • Don't see a ton of value in additional services.
  • Constant issues with system being down.
As a relatively small employer, Indeed Hiring Platform does a good job of getting our jobs out there for individuals to apply for. We essentially use Indeed to monitor candidates applying, and it is well-suited to getting the jobs published and out there. Their communication tools with candidates are set up well. If we were a larger employer with our own jobs page, I don't see Indeed as a great fit.

The Hiring Platform was easy to use and to learn quickly. This was also an easy tool to show and involve our team into at Hire Partnership. Getting to experience the platform in action during an event gave us a better understanding of its functions and benefits. Going forward, we were unsure why individuals were stuck in a waiting room, but after further evaluation with Indeed, we were informed it might be individuals who did not complete the process of entering an interviewing room. The only issue with this is if a team member contacted that waiting list individual, there was no way to take them off that list or add a note. Other than that, there were no other issues using the platform technically. A possible great idea is if there was an easier way for us to mass email individuals who did not show up for their interviews so we can invite them back into the event or coordinate separately outside of sifting through an excel sheet after the event.
  • Trained on the use of the platform.
  • Making it easily accessible to start an interview.
  • Notes section is easy to locate and view.
  • The stats were clear and concise.
  • No way to remove individuals from waiting list.
  • No way to know if someone contacted a person from waiting list.
This was an easy and functional way for us to better screen candidates before officially inviting them to an onsite interview for the position. It let us get to know them as if there were in person, and it seemed to be easy to use for the candidates as well.

We sell the Indeed Hiring Platform to various clients for recruitment. It takes the guesswork out of handling job fairs and open house events.
  • Provides highly targeted candidates based on job seekers’ search queries
  • Low cost per click, per candidate, per hire
  • Easy to set up
  • Reaches the right candidates
  • To obtain names of candidates before hiring events
Indeed Hiring Platform is well suited for larger-scale job events, especially hard-to-fill positions. If you are only interested in hiring a few employees then you are better off using a sponsored job.

We use Indeed Hiring Platform/events for large classes that our clients ask us to fill. It helps us meet with many candidates in a short amount of time.
  • Makes it simple for candidates to sign up and be involved
  • Markets the event well, we always have so many candidates sign up
  • Simple enough platform design to navigate
  • Candidates should HAVE to upload or complete a resume of some sort in order to enter the interview room
  • Many times after an interview ends, the candidate stays in the interview room even if they've logged out
  • I've experienced many tech issues with the video interview feature—both with audio and visual
Indeed Hiring Platform has been helpful if we have a large call center class in one location. We have noticed issues with remote jobs or positions where candidates can sit in multiple locations (too many people enroll that aren't eligible based on location.) It becomes super unorganized and hard to keep track of the candidate's locations. It would also work well for a 100% remote job where candidates can sit anywhere.

We use this hiring platform to conduct Open Interviews for a variety of positions within this company. The biggest problem that we have at this moment, was the change with the RSVP spreadsheet. Since we are a mental health/substance use treatment center, we have a database of patients. Before considering someone for employment, we need to check their personal information in our database to confirm they are not a current user of our services or have used it within the last 3 years. If someone falls in that bucket, we can not consider them for employment. So with the new RSVP spreadsheet that is sent to us on a daily basis to track our RSVPs once an event is collecting RSVPs, we can't see their information at all to check if they can be considered or not. Prior to the new spreadsheet, we were able to contact these applicants prior to the event to let them know they could not be considered so we didn't waste their time, as well as our interviewer's time.
  • Live Updates of people entering the interview - it pops up really quick
  • The spreadsheet with the list of applicants who came come very quick the next day
  • Simple sign up for candidates
  • Daily RSVP Spreadsheet that includes name, email, phone number, etc
  • Connection to our ATS so that candidates can fill out an application as an RSVP
  • Ability to cut off new people entering the event at a certain time but not fully ending interviews for all current interviews happening - allow them to finish but not allow new people to enter the room
  • Communication within the event to other interviewers
  • The option to require applicants to upload a resume when they enter the event
  • The option to not allow the interviewers to put people back into the interview room
The platform is well suited when it comes to functionality. When living in the event, things run smooth and I don't often run into any issues with navigating the event. I just wish the RSVP spreadsheet was back to how it was previously used as not being able to pre-screen our candidates before the event has caused a few issues on our end of things. I also think there could be more functions in the event to communicate with the other interviewers.

In the past two months, two of my clients used the Indeed Hiring Platform. For one client, they hosted an event for nurses and similar roles. They had a very successful event and everything on the platform worked smoothly on the day of the event. My other client did not run their event through our agency, but they reached out to us the day of the event for all of the different problems they were experiencing. They hire customer service agents, and the platform was consistently kicking the recruiters out and they had a number of other problems. Ultimately, they had to cancel the event that day because it was not working, which we later found out was due to the large number of people who had signed up for the event (around 11k people). We have since worked with our Indeed representatives to work out these issues for future events they host, but it was not a good first experience for them.
  • Gathering the contact information of attendees prior to the event for recruiters to reach out whether or not they actually show up.
  • Not specific to the platform itself, but it was very nice to have Indeed representatives prior to the event to walk our client through everything.
  • Ensuring that the chat function within the platform works for any questions our clients had with the platform (this function was not working the day of their event when they were trying to contact someone).
  • Making sure the platform can handle the number of registered attendees or let the client know prior to the event if too many are registered and will cause the platform to crash.
I think it worked very well for my client hiring roles that are not high volume (ex: nurses, etc.). For clients who hire high volume for each role, I would not recommend the platform until Indeed has a solution for the clients to help them manage the number of people who have signed up. I'm not exactly sure what the solution could be for this yet, but even just working with the client to set a cap on the attendees might be helpful to prevent the platform from crashing or to prevent too many people showing up where the recruiters are unable to handle the volume.

We have used the platform twice for a virtual hiring event in order to connect with customer service representatives throughout the US.
  • Keeping the candidates in the virtual lobby.
  • Allowing the recruiter/hiring managers to take notes that are kept on the platform.
  • Make hiring decisions on the platform.
  • Allowing the candidates to select video or a phone interview.
  • We have had firewall issues for some of our managers. Recruiting has not had issues. We should have tested this a few weeks before using it.
  • Being able to use a smart device and provide training on it would be helpful.
  • Having our Implementation consultant be virtually available in the lobby. It would allow for easier access to them.
Volume hiring with this platform is outstanding, also any remote hiring this platform is well suited for. The platform allows TA to interview quickly and make decisions quickly on candidate offers. I am not sure the platform would do well for high-level skill-specific jobs if the position was not remote.

We use it to hold virtual hiring events. We run these events when we need to hire a lot of people in a very short amount of time.
  • It keeps attendees well-organized.
  • The video audio quality it typically very good.
  • It allows you to call candidates directly from the platform.
  • There are frequent technical issues when trying to place someone back in the lobby for a second interview.
  • Not requiring a resume on file makes adding candidates to our ATS very difficult and time-consuming. Once we stop getting the RSVP list in advance, it will be even more difficult.
  • Candidates seem to expect their interviews will start exactly at the time they sign up for. A better job could be done upfront in managing those expectations during a busy event.
If you need to hire a lot of people quickly, it's great. If you have time for a more thorough hiring process, there are better ways of doing so.

We currently use the Indeed Hiring Platform for our hiring events for sales agents. The issues we face are potential candidates being able to log in hours if not days after their time slots that they signed up for. Resumes are also not required when indeed is a resume database site. These two issues allow for a poor candidate and hiring manager experience. We do not want to hire for those who no show their original signed up for time slot and it's pretty hard to interview someone with no resume.
  • Ability to sign up for time slots.
  • Knock out questions.
  • Not allowing people to come in after they signed up for a time slot (maybe a 7 minute grace period).
  • Not allowing people to re-sign up.
  • Requiring resumes.
This platform works for high-volume recruiting but not so much for niche roles.

We use the IHP to fill for Customer Service Representative opportunities. We have used the IHP more than 12 times in the past year or two at this point and see quite a bit of success! The problems this platform addresses are finding many candidates and being able to get them through our pipeline into a hired status faster than usual when our clients have big lifts.
  • Set up is relatively easy.
  • Candidates are familiar with Indeed so they are comfortable using a well-known source for the event.
  • Provides candidates a clear understanding of where they are in the process throughout the event.
  • Items that can be logged post-interview regarding a candidate. Ex. if assessments were completed, which team member made the next step decision, what we need to follow up on, etc.
  • Having a multi-step interview process. Our team completes a screen then sets candidates back into the waiting room for a secondary interview. This is confusing to candidates. I wish there were two waiting rooms so our team could better manage where candidates are in the process.
  • We do not want the RSVP list to go away prior to the event. When there are connection issues, if we don't have the email and phone number of candidates, we are essentially losing a potential lead which would be frustrating.
Without having the various items to input regarding candidates and next steps, I wish the platform was able to be more customized for our needs.

We use Indeed Hiring Event Platform to supplement hiring during heavy staffing lifts. It allows us to expedite the process to move more candidates through the process as efficiently as possible.
  • Amount of users is unlimited.
  • Adding users is easy.
  • The platform on the day of the event is pretty straight forward and easy to use.
  • The intake form and process to get an event running is very cumbersome.
  • The removal of the list of signups before the event is extremely inefficient for our organization.
  • There tends to be technical issues on the day of the event, people can't get on camera, their sound doesn't work, they are added back into the waiting room but can't figure out how to get back into the event, etc.
  • The quality of candidates we get through the hiring event tends to be low.
  • We want more note-taking ability inside the tool as we wrap up interviews. We have follow-up items we need to note and have to do so outside of the system.
  • Would be nice to have a chat function to chat with someone to say, we will be with you shortly. The announcement feature won't be noticed by candidates.
  • We want the ability to have a wage screening question as part of the screener questions.
The Indeed Hiring Event Platform is a necessary tool to have for any organization needing to run virtual events for hiring purposes. The functionality, setup process, etc have some room for improvement. It is nice to be able to run an event in multiple states, not so great to have to set the event up on the backend for multiple states. We've recommended some ideas to Indeed on how to improve the platform, and I am hopeful they will take the ideas into consideration for those of us that are heavy users of the tool, and really understand the areas it could be improved. Overall, it is help and aids in allowing you to talk to many candidates efficiently.
